About our school

Stewart House School is a co-educational, residential school located on the beachfront at Curl Curl on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Our goal is to develop children's social and emotional skills and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

While at Stewart House students Children participate in educational programs in the classroom, at the beach and excursions around Sydney.  We provide activities to promote social and emotional competence and develop independence in self-care skills and resilience.

During the excursion program, we may be visiting all or some of the following, Taronga Park Zoo, Powerhouse Museum, Harbour Bridge, Manly Ferry, Northern Beaches parks, Sydney Olympic Aquatic Centre and other indoor pools, Museums and the city sights.

The class program includes lessons that are designed to enhance social skills, develop emotional resilience and prevent bullying, art and craft activities and sports.

All students participate in sessions for Aboriginal dance, Dreaming stories and other lessons relating to Aboriginal Culture and Heritage with our Aboriginal Education Assistant.

Students are also provided with health services including optometric, audiometric, dental and medical screening and initial treatment and referral as required.
