ANZAC DAY 2021

During their stay the children from our Newcastle group participated in a special remembrance assembly on Friday 23rd April to honour the service and sacrifice of our brave servicemen and women past and present.

Led by relieving Principal Tom Angus the students were told about the history of this day in 1915; learning how they became known as ANZACs and the pride they took in that name that continues to this day.

Additionally, throughout thier stay the children were tasked with making special poppy flowers for a commemorative wall.

The poppies were filled with the faces of ANZAC soldiers along with their own in an attempt to visualise those this day is remembered for.
